Ms. Farahani is a former prosecutor from New York with extensive trial experience. She is licensed to practice in CA & NY. Ms. Farahani is also experienced in defending licensed professionals in administrative law hearings related to discipline and licensing before licensing boards in actions brought by the State Attorney General's office.
She graduated from the University of Southern California Law School in 2001 with honors. She was a selected member of the Hale Moot Court Honors Program and worked in the USC Post Conviction Justice Project where she defended multiple inmates in parole hearings. During law school, she also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Mitchell R. Goldberg and worked in the criminal trial division of the United States Attorney's Office in New York. Additionally, Ms. Farahani was a co-founder of USC’s Middle Eastern Southeast Asian Lawyer’s Association.
Ms. Farahani graduated from New York University Magna Cum Laude in 1996. She has studied in several countries, including Spain and Russia and speaks Farsi and Spanish fluently. She also volunteers at the Los Angeles County Barrister’s Domestic Violence Project in LA County Superior Court where she drafts petitions for temporary restraining orders. |
